As an entrepreneur and writing coach, most of the information I’ll be sharing in my newsletter would typically be given during a paid one-on-one session. This year, I wanted to bridge the gap between two of the most beloved generations of our time - millennials and baby boomers, by offering a platform that would speak to a common interest for both.
LEGACY.
After speaking with a plethora of millennials (including myself, LOL) and drawing from the wisdom of baby boomers over the years, I realize that we all have this one thing in common: we want to leave something behind that matters, for our children and our children’s children.
This newsletter speaks to that. If you’ve followed any of my writing in the past, then you know that I’ve built a brand that caters to meaningful, significant and timeless pieces that encourage you intellectually and spiritually. The BIL is all of that and then some.
So, what is The BIL?
Well, I thought it was interesting because everyday, we’re submerged in one thought - ‘how am I going to pay the bills?’. Even if you’re rich, you still think about your money (it’s wise to do so), because you think about where it’s going and how you can make more.
This BIL I’ve created for you is different. Instead of taking something from you, it gives something to you. Well, maybe the electric company and gas company do also (after all, they provide you with a resource for some of your hard-earned coins).
But what I give will have impact. You’ll see it. You’ll feel it. You’ll be able to apply it; and you’ll see that it’s priceless.
And if you’re thinking that you can see your gas tank move to full when you fill it up (another bill), drive two blocks and write me a note telling me if you ever feel you really see that benefit. I’ll wait (wink).
The BIL stands for Business. Ink. Legacy. I’ll be discussing all things relating to business, writing (ink) and legacy. I’m a firm believer that everything we build, no matter what our passion or interests are, starts with writing. You can write the vision and make it plain or write your business plan. Either way, so much of what we want out of life lies in us first putting it down in ink. How else do you gauge what needs to be changed as you move forward?
You’ll walk away feeling empowered to go after business in a different way; to write your first book or to start a newsletter of your own; and to pursue things that help you build your legacy. Many things will intertwine and others will be focused on just one of those areas.
All that matters to me is that we build on truth in our everyday world; that we leave something of value behind; and that our children and children’s children don’t have to ever suffer and face some of the same things we did.
Welcome Aboard. I can’t wait to build with you.
