Reset with Prayer

Setting the tone for your year

If there’s one thing we notice in January, in addition to everyone setting weight loss goals, it's the ambition to fast and pray. For this month, I wanted to include some of the magazine articles in our Monday blog, Faith Fit, which you receive weekly. But God placed it on my heart to release Girls Anthem prayer calls each week to encourage you in your prayer life.

Believe it or not, many believers struggle to pray consistently. With January being a month when people join some kind of fast, I wanted to encourage you to build a successful prayer life. It doesn’t matter if you turn down your plate for 21 days if your prayer life isn’t flourishing.

Over the next eight weeks, you’ll gain access to the prayer call I ran back in April 2024. For four months, I gathered with women and prayed every Sunday. If you purchased the PDF or print copy of the holiday issue, you would’ve received a link to a prayer bundle that included all the prayers.

Now, everyone will have access to those prayers, although I encourage you to purchase the issue. The prayer in this article is on Forgiveness. Each prayer includes me teaching on the topic before praying, so be sure to grab your journals.

I also want to make a special announcement. Starting in March, Girls Anthem Magazine will offer paid subscriptions. While the Faith Fit section, the Monday articles, will continue to be free, the other sections (Health Hits, Soul Entertainment, Business Blueprint, and a new section, Kay’s Korner), will cost. Our subscription model is as follows:

$9.99/month for all the sections (including, exclusive visual/audio interviews and our Girls Anthem Roundtable)

I know times are challenging, but I encourage you to ask God where to invest your subscriptions this season. I canceled Netflix in one season of my life to subscribe to Woman Evolve TV. If I can spend $10-15/month on entertainment, I can invest in my spirit. This is in no way meant to be a guilt trip, just a nudge for you to take inventory.

Here’s an overview of what each section entails. You can also listen or read the current articles under those sections for a taste of what you’ll get. Remember, this goes into effect on March 1, 2025.

  • Faith Fit (The Voice of Encouragement) - the official, free weekly newsletter

  • Health Hits - Health and wellness from a biblical perspective

  • Soul Entertainment - Focuses on faith-based entertainment, including books, movies, and television shows that glorify God. We will also feature women of faith in entertainment.

  • Business Blueprint - For women serious about their business, whether family business or finances, the business and finance section of Girls Anthem Magazine features articles and interviews on home and family management, banking, real estate, entrepreneurship, stewardship, and investing.

  • Kay’s Korner - Coming in March, this section is where Mya Kay will share personal essays, blog posts, and exclusive celebrity interviews. This space will include written, audio, and visual entertainment. Girls Anthem Roundtable will also be included in this section. Our roundtable features discussions with other women of faith and will give the experience of being a part of an inner circle or VIP experience at a conference.

Remember, print and PDF copies will still be available for purchase. If you find that a monthly subscription is too much right now, the articles will be in the print version of the magazine (all except the roundtable and Kay’s Korner).

PDF Magazine: $5.99

Print Magazine: $12.99

PS Please excuse the audio files still being labeled as The Girl Files. When I first started on this platform, I had a podcast called The Girl FIles. I’m still speaking with the tech team to fix this issue so that there’s no confusion with the branding. Bear with us as we navigate this new terrain.

Thanks for reading Girls Anthem! Subscribe for free to receive new posts and support my work.
