The Weight of The Wait Challenge Day Seven – Let Patience
Hurry up and wait..for real, for real...
Hey Brave Hearts for Christ,
No matter how patient we think we are, there’s always a new level of patience that we can reach for. And God will make sure of it. For me, this is one of the most important fruits of the spirit. Here’s why: How can you truly walk in love without patience? How can you suffer long without being patient with yourself and the trial you’re walking through? How can kindness be extended if you’re impatient with people?
While the word of God highlights every fruit as important, patience and self-control to me are the bookends for the others. This is why letting patience have her perfect work so that you are complete and lacking nothing is so important. Having patience shows God that we will wait for Him, even if He doesn’t come through the way we expected or when.

While God is concerned with every aspect of your life, He is more concerned with his daughters bearing good fruit. What good is it to get what you’re waiting on, but you don’t have the fruit to sustain the blessing? Some of us have felt like the wait is trying to take us out. But God is saying, “Let patience…”. No matter how long you’ve been waiting or how much you want to just settle for God’s “permissive will” over His “perfect will”, keep repeating to yourself, “Let patience…”
Let God grow you up in this area. One thing I’ve learned, and I pray this blesses you: God is not in a hurry. Girl, you mind as well grab a book and chill. Let patience…
