Dear Brave Hearts for Christ,
Hope is a seed that generates faith. One thing that I’ve learned is that on the way to our next blessing or open door, God drops morsels of hope. This is why I encourage women to keep a prayer journal to document God’s goodness throughout the years. But one thing I want you to know, is that you can hope and be weary.
Weariness is not a sin. Even when Galatians 6:9 tells us to “be not weary in well-doing…”, this clearly means God knows we would need encouragement in this area. Hope anchors your faith down when you’re ready to give up.
One way to look at hope is to see it for what it is. God’s water fountain that we can take a drink from (Romans 15:13) whenever we get tired and thirsty. If someone buys you a plant, you’re going to water it and take care of it to the best of your ability. Even if you’re not a green thumb, you’re going to at least do the basics – put it near some sunlight and water it every few days when you see it getting dry.

Hope is that water. Take as many sips as you need. On some days, you’ll need to only take a quick swig. But on other days, specifically those days where the enemy comes rushing in like a flood (Isaiah 59:19), you may need to sip and sip - kind of like that annoying boy at recess who held up the water line while everyone waited, hoping to get a sip before the bell rang signaling the end of recess.
Sis, cling to hope. If you don’t have any in the moment, go grab some from someone else. Call your sister girls to encourage you. The same way you may need to borrow some of your sister’s faith at times, you can borrow her hope. No matter what, cling to hope. God will not allow your hope to be crushed.
Whew!! This challenge is blessing me. We're two days away from the end. Has God been stretching your faith?
