Dear Brave Hearts for Christ,
I never thought I would be someone that God could trust. After all, there were days where I barely trusted myself. But over the last twelve years of this unique journey that I’ve been on, I’ve learned that if God gives me an instruction or an assignment, it’s because this is something that He knows I’m going to do. Even if I fuss at first because I don’t understand, He knows that I will be the one to do it.
While we all have an assignment as believers (to make disciples), God doesn’t release certain assignments to every Christian. So many of us have barely followed the basic instructions that would allow God to see that He can trust us with a certain assignment, yet we’re wondering why life keeps getting harder and harder. However, there’s a remnant of believers that God has pruned and processed. He knows that He can count on us to do what He says.
The weight of being trusted by God is no fun. I’m here to tell you – it can be downright difficult at times, but if you’re going through a special waiting season that feels like you’re eating loss for dinner on a daily basis, this might be a season where God is showing you that He trusts you.

Sometimes, we want to be trusted with more responsibility, more influence and more territory, but we aren’t willing to surrender to what it takes for God to prove us. Will you call the boo that paid all your bills last year when the first season of entrepreneurship gets tough? Or will you count on God to get you through?
Will you go back to the shore when the waves overwhelm you or will you push past the pain of discomfort to reach for the more God showed you? Will you lean on your own understanding when He anoints you, then sends you back to serve in obscurity (David) or will you trust that your season will come?
These are all opportunities for God to prove you. Trust me. You want to fail in obscurity. Failing on a platform brings much destruction. So, trust God the way He’s trusting you. It’s a privilege. Whatever your next carries, He trusts you with the weight of it. Don’t despise being trusted by God. Lean into it. Show Him that He was right about you.
One more day...see you tomorrow!!
