Hey Brave Hearts for Christ,
It’s so funny how when we seek God out during the wait, we miss His whispers. If our situation is dire (i.e. waiting on a financial breakthrough to keep our home from going into foreclosure), we expect God to come through loudly. Can you cause someone to set up a GoFund Me account on my behalf, Lord? Please?
But sometimes God speaks a reminder of the last time He came through for you financially before He’ll send the breakthrough. The whispers of God are so beautiful during the wait. They give us hope and keep pushing us to pursue the faith that He’s trying to get out of us. God isn’t trying to push you into homelessness or keep you single to torture you – He’s longing for you to get to a place where no matter how long He makes you wait, you will honor Him and praise Him for who He is.

The whispers of God come through right in that moment when we’re about to give up. When we’re crying during worship asking Him why everyone else is living their dreams while we’re waiting for our next door to open up. He whispers comforting words to let us know that His plan is perfect, even if we can’t see it yet.
The one thing I would encourage you to do during your time of waiting is to make sure your spiritual ear is in tune with God. Ask Him to sharpen your spiritual ears so you can hear His voice in everything. Don’t dismiss a social media post or your downstairs neighbor because you expect God to speak a certain way.
I pray you look for the whispers of God during this time. Even if all you hear is, “I love you”.
